Vestfold costume

 

Many people associate the national costume with the national Romanticism in the 1800, when the farmer clothing’s and culture got a lot of interest.

There are more than 400 national costumes in Norway.

There are two national costumes from Vestfold one from 1932 and one from 1956. But I`m going to write about the one from 1956. The Vestfold costume has blue or black wool fabric in bodice, stack and hat. The bodice and the stack has no embroidery, but has handmade web patched on.

The stockings has to be white.
